Lira University in Shanghai has opened its first Beauty School, according to Shanghai Daily.
The beauty school is being called the “first beauty school in the world.”
Lira University is in the northeastern part of China and offers a full range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including an emphasis on Chinese beauty, health and beauty education.
It is also home to the Shanghai Beauty Institute.
According to the school’s website, the school aims to promote “the quality and diversity of beauty and health sciences in China.”
“The Beauty School is the first beauty school on the continent, and the first in the Shanghai area,” the school says.
“We will work closely with our students, as well as our professional mentors to make our programs accessible to the Chinese public.”
Liza Wang, the director of education at Lira, told the paper that the Beauty School will offer the school an opportunity to engage more than 1,000 students who have applied to be enrolled.
