The best way to find out if you have skin problems is to talk to your doctor.
“Most people can’t tell the difference between normal and abnormal skin,” says Dr. Andrew Kloos, a dermatologist at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.
“So you don’t want to be on the road to finding out you have a problem because you have so many different things going on in your body.”
I looked for skin that was lighter and more reflective, so I would say I had normal skin.””
When I looked at people with white skin and dark circles under their eyes, they didn’t look normal.

What to Look for in a Skin CheckerIt’s not a quick skin test that will tell you if you’re at risk for skin cancer.
“The skin checker will do some things that are very helpful, but it’s really a blood test,” Klimos says.
It’s not as simple as a needle test, and you may have to do a skin test on yourself before you get a test results.
In general, the results of a skin check should show signs of a serious condition like skin cancer, he says.

“I think that there’s an undercurrent of fear that a lot of people have,” says Klims.
“People don’t really know what to expect.
So there’s this feeling of, ‘Well, if I don’t do this, then I’m just a loser.'”
You may also want to talk with your doctor about a skin-cancer test.
If you don’s have skin issues, it’s likely to be more advanced than it looks on a skin scan.
If the doctor tells you that you have serious skin problems, you may need a skin exam.
You may need to do one on yourself, too.
Some people may not want to wait for a skin doctor to see if they have skin cancer or other serious problems, Klimas says.
But if you need a quick test, you’ll want to check with your insurance provider.
“You may have heard that it’s better to wait a week after a scan, but that’s not necessarily true,” Kligos says, adding that a skin skin check can be done more quickly and more accurately.
“You may think that it takes three or four weeks for a scan to come back.
But that’s because of the time it takes to have the scan.”
If you think you have some skin issues and need immediate medical help, you should go to a doctor right away.
“If you need immediate care, you need to get your insurance card,” Kliks says.
If it’s not possible, you can call your doctor’s office and request an appointment.
The doctor will usually have a skin examination to check your skin and blood for signs of an underlying disease, and they may refer you to a dermatology specialist to treat your skin problems.
“A lot of dermatologists do not treat skin issues,” Klams says.
Instead, they will refer you for other types of treatments.
A dermatologist may recommend you get tested for skin problems before treating your skin issues.
“There is a lot that can be accomplished by going to a skin care specialist,” Klips says.
